I have had my xtrail for four years now we bought it second hand it had 60.000 on the clock when we got it and now has 79.000 and never had any problems its a 2003 model 2.2 sport and I love it,a great tow car.Ian

Went with a friend to pick up his new 1600 mptl twin wheeler 130 miles towing and was really quite impressed with his freelander it was effortless.
I think I might want one

I'm also considering swapping the C-Max for an X-trail. Great thread, with some really useful comments from all posters. I've not heard a bad thing said from X-trail owners on here or elsewhere, (to be fair I've not spoken to any pre-2007 2.2 blown turbo owners)...
