Ours 25-34mpg, £260 VED tyres £180 each, but just got 4 new for £500 fiited
But we love it.Its my wifes car-except when I get it it needs fuel or washing! 
Have pulled several vans (and a motorhome) off soggy pitches with the various 4x4s we have owned!
Most 4x4 owners will assist if asked.
One (soggy) May in France we rescued 4 stuck vehicles with our Frontera! It was renamed "Thunderbird 2" after that!
