Mick, what about the Skoda Yeti, 4x4 tdi, a lot cheaper to run

And just where will the OP find a 3 or 4 year old Yeti, Bob?

Your trumpeting of a Skoda on every car-related thread without even bothering to read the original post is really making you look a first-class chump.

The brand deserves better.

we have a hyundai santa f'e 2.7 V6 from new.do not buy one if you want to save on petrol.best towcar ever for me.there are diesel models av.if you buy 2 to 3 year old you can obtain the 5 year warranty providing it has been fully serviced from new.which is what you want anyway when buying secondhand.check road tax think it will be £400 for you now if you buy one.

the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

He has not mentioned a budget, but most of the other 4x4 of that age would be around the same prices

The reason I mentioned the Yeti was because Mick was asking what to go for, and everyone jumped in with the more expensive to run options, and to possibly buy

Hi Mick, we have a single axle six berth compass caravan and i pull it with a nissan navara double cab truck, its accepted on all sites as it looks liks a regular SUV with the rear canopy on, it pulls well and has absolutely acres of space in the back for extra gear and as an extra bonus its classed as a light commercial vehicle so you don't get hammered with the silly road tax, plus you'll never ever get stuck in a field. hope this helps.

Are those Yetis you have linked to 4wd or 2wd drive Bob? Most Yetis I have come across are 2wd, there aren't that many 4wd's around.

They have just opened a Skoda dealership near us, he had several Yetis on the forecourt-one was AWD!

Not for me would rather have an Octavia Scout. More room and better looking-although Octavia VRS is nice too!

Not looking to change yet -so we'll stick with our tow anything Sorento (Hers)and our plaything Saab Convertible!(Mine except when she nicks it!)

Saab will tow our van too-tempting for the summer?
