i can only speak for the ordinary people i know when i say they are feeling the pinch with the price of fuel.

if people you know are happy to pay extortionate prices.good luck to them.

Agree with the earlier comments ~ correctly loaded 'van with correct tyre pressures on both 'van and car, sympathetic use of accelerator and brakes, reading the road and conditions ahead etc etc. But.......... the most dramatic increase in fuel economy (almost 20% less fuel used) was in following HGV's in lane 1: fuel economy increased from just over 13mpg to around 16.5mpg. Never get anywhere near that even when travelling at the same speed etc with no HGV in front of me.
