Does the gauge move when you fill up,is it stuck?I have looked at the wiring diagrams and gauge is fed from ignition so should go off straight away when turned off as mine does.


What happens when you disconnect battery?

I have a 05 Sorento and the gauge reads all the time i belive this is normal

just checked mine and it is registering almost full with ign off. 04 XS manual. Will pose the question on the sorento forum.

I have a copy of Sorento electrical drawings which applies to all models from 2003 on to the end of the old model and shows the same for all of them, gauge off with ignition off.

So why so many showing fuel contents with ignition off? I have no faults showing on computer check.

It looks like the gauge changed in the later models.
Why worry about it? - both systems work and have been installed by Kia
