We have a 59 reg Sorento.It is an excellent towcar, solo about 30ish, towing 20-23 as a rough estimate, towing Bailey Pegasus. Reliability excellent.

We are getting a new model very soon-waiting for towbar fitting etc.

Also tow alot with the 'old skool' 2009 sorento. Great solo mpg of 33+ mpg, and is not too bad towing (can get 30 mpg if towing van like it is loaded with c4). I drive the manual one because much cheaper on road tax (makes me a hook nose i suppose). No real brand image but i have owned it from new for as good as 4 years with no issues. Equipment levels are great, but not as good feely-touchy quality as the expensive German or Land Rover alternatives. However never let us down and cost £17 and a bit thousand new!! Front tyres last for me over 33 thousand miles and cost £200 approx a pair. Backs are still ok. Great budget 4x4. Not tryining to be luxury, but also not costing luxury money so suits me fine. And hopefully you. Unless you need a posh bagde. In which case, pay up and look big lol!
