I caravan alone and find hitching and unhitching relatively straightforward. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.
Although my van is tiny and extremely light, I would not be able to lift it to hitch/ unhitch due to joint and back problems so it does all come down to reversing correctly and using the jockey wheel.

Well you certainly have given confidence to anyone that reads your post HEJC72, that being the case it has dispelled any worries that I may have had, certainly will be looking at a motor mover though as I am looking at a heavier van, 4/5 berth. Really appreciate your input, excellent post if I may say, thanks.

Except some cars cannot tow 85% of their kerbweight.

Their max towing limits maybe much lower.

Take a large family car 1600kg kerbweight max tow 1800kg.

Add one eco badge and the max tow maybe reduced to 1200kg. Cannot remember which car i looked at that had these figures.

But you have to check these things.

Thanks Grampian91 but I have a Kia Sorento 2.5 XSE CRDi so plenty of room to manouvre, so as to put it, appreciate the info' though.
