The suck it an see mirrors that we use are ideal if your mirrors are abit of an unusual shape or size like our Vectras were, we find them very good and also very easy to fit.
Cavaliers were GREAT, had two, Y reg and K reg, both used at work, ladders, tools sometimes four people, no probs 200,000 miles on clock, was I just lucky ?
------------- Keep smiling, its later than you think !
Bob no reason why the isignia wont do the same, any car that is serviced correctly will do big miles, the world record is held by a Volvo p1800 with over 3 million miles on it.
most people on here would'nt want or dream of keeping a car for that long,
Bob, you were at the turning point, those were not bad cars, but the older one was so much better.
I would wager good money on the fact that an Insignia won't do that, not least because they aren't designed to. Manufacturers have been reducing the planned lifespan of cars, just because you sell more cars that way. You will always find an exception, but it's not the way to bet.
They don't want them to last. I would prefer to pay more to get better quality. As it is, you have to look out for a manufacturer who doesn't think that way. There aren't many.
We have an Insignia sports tourer 130CDTI & i find it tows no problem, having said that i haven't towed with many other cars but it feels fine. As for the towing mirrors i agree with an earlier post in that if you can get the clamp on type you have 4 mirrors to use which i find great as you can use the car mirrors to see where the caravan wheels are going! I cant remember the type we have but they are similar to the milenco ones but have a rubber strap to wrap round the mirror which worked once as one of the mirrors worked loose & i would have lost it had it not been for the rubber strap. I fix the clamps onto the bottom of the mirror if thats any help.

I have a Vauxhall Insignia that I use for towing. I went for the suck on mirrors and have found them very good. Big advantage is you can easily adjust them from inside the car with the normal mirror adjusters.
I have found the car brilliant for towing never had a problem in the last almost two years that I have had it, not had a single problem.
I went for the CDTI 160 4x4 version great car!
Whats your kerbweight in the Vx insignia ?
Your challenger sport twin with the weight upgrade must mean your
