The caravan was perfect on the galaxy but very nose down with the FL2?

Martin, seen you on Freel2.
Just measured mine, Westfalia detachable (Thule and the Genuine LR Detachables are trouble) mines 16" to the bottom of the ball, yours is 15" and the distance from the top of the wheel to the rim is 5" as is yours. Can't see that the inch lower on the ball will make that much difference and its still well within the guidelines. That leaves soft springs and when loaded they drop to much which I doubt or the nose weight is to heavy?

What is the height of the towball with the caravan hitched on?

It could be your springs are week but are holding the weight near enough correct with no weight on them but are compressing too far when they are under load.

Alternatively, you could have too much noseweight for the car.

I think sorting the slow punctures seems to have changed things a little and also the rear tyres are getting near replacing (so new ones would also add a little height)

The noseweight shouldnt be an issue as now 150kg rather than 85kg on galaxy which was level(caravan loaded the same)

I need to get the van out to give a try to see

thanks for the replies

I was just trying to say the FL2 with the higher allowance should cope better than the galaxy at around 80kg

Was the Galaxy a higher hitch to the FL2 that's why it seems lower? By rights they should all be about tthe same.

I'm not sure as it's long gone, but I towed 2 different caravans with the galaxy with no issues
Cheers
