Just to clarify things, Skoda did have a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

They then changed it to 3 years or 60,000 miles, now considering your average taxi can cover 50,000 miles in a year, the warranty will be gone quickly

ST, would you care to divulge where they placed the range rover

Another one here with an Octavia (05, TDI, 140BHP) - the only problem I've had is that the parking sensors have packed up recently, but I never relied on them anyway.
Bought it because so many taxi drivers use them and now police and ambulance...
my brother had this Skoda -


- a Felicia (but a R/H drive) - in the 60's; built like a tank and never broke down, even when driven hard over cart tracks and moorland....

The "Tow Car Of the Year" award is given to the car which a panel of "experts" (motoring hacks) believe to be the best overall of a selection of new cars submitted by the manufactures in that particular year. There are restrictions on what is deemed to be a new car. It has no bearing on sales of cars or their popularity. It's a bit like "Car of the year" which was won by the Rover SD1 and others of that quality.

ps: I tow with a Skoda Octavia!

I think you'll find that using a vehicle for taxi work will invalidate most warranties.
