I have a Saab 93 convertible which has the same 150bhp engine and transmission as the Vectra. It is a powerful car with plenty of torque even in 6th gear, economy around 40-42 mpg solo( We don't pootle around either!)
I don't tow with it although some people do use them, the convertible is quite heavy too!
Reliability good, in 4 years ownership it has an alternator (changed under warranty)
2 broken rear springs (which is quite common) sadly out of warranty!
A replacement aircon radiator-something came off the road and holed it
Last fault was a clogged EGR valve -again a common fault, the car is coming up to 7 years old and we love it.
I think of it as a like a Vauxhall only better!
