well, its got a onboard comp,so will let you know the mpg,I do know it will better than jeep,as its not 4x4.at moment, general use so far inc playing with kickdown its showing 32 mpg.more than mymusso anyway.
That's the yank mpg there gallon is smaller
They are calibrated to the UK Gallon and in any case if it was calibrated to the US Gallon it would mean the car would be actually doing MORE than 32 miles per UK Gallon.
Most vehicle fuel comp readings are over optimistic, best to brim the tank that means fill it until you cannot get anymore in and can see the fuel just below the opening, reset trip, run the vehicle for about 200 miles, re brim and take note of the fuel amount and the trip do this a few times and do the calculations, while you're doing this also take note of what the vehicle comp is stating

Very sensible taking the van with you, at least you will have somewhere dry to wait on the breakdown services
seems quite obvious you have never owned an american car.Never mind,im sure skodas are executive travel. If it breaks down, which any vehicle can,we will be covered this time properly, saves on fuel too.
ok,first trip with new car as follows, skeggy is 2 hours from us,took over 4 hours, roads were jammed, took 1 hour to do last 5 miles. On way back we got held up for 2 hours on a 46 just outside newark.Bad accident and we had to turn around on carriage way and police had closed all the raods and we were all giuded off,so with all that hold up and having to do a detour i still got 23 mpg towing a 28ft twin axel.I think not bad.The car went like a dream and to honest i almost forgot the van was there
