As already said it could be your heater matrix, if it is I'd strongly recommend steal real, its guaranteed to work, I put in my daughters focus last year and it did the trick straight away, if you put anything else in it might cock your heater up, lets face it I'm sure they actually builds cars around the heater.
This was recommended to me by my mate who owns 3 garages
sorry steel seal, its a head gasket repair fluid that has a money back guarantee, I used it on my daughters car as the heater matrix was leaking into the car,it sealed it no problem buts its not to heavy that it blocked the heater from working
Well had the 2 broken springs changed and its still not driving right at all. That's 3 different workshops its been through now. The springs needed to be fixed regardless but I'm still trying to find out what it could be. I wonder if getting the tracking done again will help?
Possibly, they have 3 mm on the front and 6 on the back. They have been checked by Kwik Fit who usually say you need new ones but they say they are fine. The car makes very little road and tyre noise at high speed. I don't know age of tyres as they were already on car when I bought it.
so just above the legal min then of 1.6 mm, not that it really matters that much as I have a car that had perfect tread depth and had to change all 4 due to cracking from lack of use! the road handling made a marked difference tho once I had them changed, perhaps try swapping them over front to back and see if that helps at all, if so then you know they need changing for new ones
I might just buy two new front tyres and see if this makes any difference. I will need some soon anyway.
The garage the did my wheel alignment on all 4 wheels 2 weeks ago at cost of £70 did not notice the 2 broken springs. Now they had have been replaced this may need doing again. I don't know if I should ask garage to do again free really as I don't see how you can correctly align wheels with snapped springs but them I'm not a mechanic.
When I got my Vectra from Perry's I later found six inch deep water sloshing around in the back floor.Took the car back mechanic told me it looked like a big job the dash would have to come off etc.Left the car so Perry's dropped me off in Doncaster where I decided to treat myself to bacon sandwich in favourite cafe.Just sat down when mobile rang Perry's Yourcar is fixed sir sending car to pick you up.
The problem was leaves had gone somehow through grill into and blocked drainage channel directing rain water past pollen filter into car.this car must have been parked under trees for the first three years till I bought it.I have watched carefully since had no more bother now 7yrs ago so its quite a simple job to clear this if your car is same.
ThanksTrekkar, this also happened to mine when I bought it in august. Lots of water got into car from the same spot, I removed the rubber drainer which fixed the most part of the leak but water is still entering, not much but still makes car floor damp and smelly.
