New Ford's will show a small picture on centre display when towing and a dedicated loom is simply plug in by dealer and activated with ford ids software so will automatically disable parking sensors..

Unless your going to reverse the whole way I wouldn't worry, that's the only time they are active

My parking sensors are not affected by the tow bar, or when the caravan is attached. I have a 57 plate Antara, had the towbar fitted at a local specialist.

Most modern cars are programmed to avoid towbar pickup by sensors.
My 55 octavia 57scout never sensed the tow bar or 13 pin socket but sensed the tow hitch as soon as I was within 4/5ft of it,
I only wish they could be more accurate in the pick up field so you could pin point the hitch dead center of the field read out on radio console.
What a doddle it would be backing up to hitch up.

May be some one will come up with one with a very narrow field say 10 degrees located dead center of bumper and no down ward field to miss ball ???

My dealer fitted tow on the Tiguan does so has to be a removalble ball.

May be I will save up and have a reversing camera fitted
on the Tiguan like my new Yeti run about if the radio console is suitable
