that was the Honda engine i think ?
And you are correct low ratio gear you would struggle to reach 30mph i once pulled a 5 ton trailer with mine from Flag to chapel with the Peak Park Rangers, and did it struggle pulled it ok but knew about it, and before anyone says owt, it was on a hydrolic braking system via the defender 110. boy do i miss that motor
