We also went to view a "2011" plate BMW X3 SE. The X3 has all the gadgets in the inside, also has the electronic tow bar with camera on the back that lines up the tow bar when hitching. Because its the SE it has doesn't have the full colour coded bumpers, hence looking a bit basic.

If you do decide on the X3 with the electric towbar check that it is working properly. Several owners have reported problems with these getting stuck and they are often difficult and very expensive to fix.

The SE version might look a 'bit basic' with its smaller wheels and black trim, but it will provide a more comfortable ride than the M Sport with its harder suspension and bigger wheels.

Thanks HumberWolf..Now checked and is in good working order. They will also be putting a 12 month guarantee on the car should we have any problems in the future. Had a test drive, lovely and smooth. The X3 is it then :)

Your wobble could be your nose weight isn't high enough, or your cars rear tyre's not up to pressure, or even the vans
Your BMW depending on how old it is, could be chipped for more power and better economy.
Have you looked at the skoda superb 190 tdi CR, you can get one with full leather in business class, with treble the rear leg room
It has nothing to do with the badge there is nothing wrong with that or the car in itself but its not what the post was asking, which was an executive car therefore the jag or bmw and many others fit the bill the the skoda don't

I do not own a Skoda, but give me a Superb over a BMW or Jag any day. Far better car and far better value for money, it is only the badge snobs that discard the modern Skoda.......Those that know their cars, know how good the Skoda Superb is.

Read the motoring press and reviews. 😀👍

With X3 and XFs remember any repair costs will always reflect the cost of the car when new.

X3 check the tyres and ensure even wear all round. Significant mismtach of tread depths can kill the 4x4 system.

Also swap the tyres inline with advice in the handbook. My 4x4 needs a diagonal front to back swap every 12 months. So far tyre wear is even, 24,000 miles and 5mm all round.
