Pour it in your fuel tank it will also stop as well, the guy who shares my office did this last Wednesday, put about a litre in his fuel tank before he realised what he was doing, Audi charged him 480 for the trouble

The 17litre adblue tank in my Berlingo is supposed to last for 12k miles at least so more than enough for me. It can be topped up at annual service. Easy diy topup though. Blue filler cap by diesel filler. Warning light comes on 1.5k miles before empty tank so plenty of time to refill. Adblue is made from animal urine. You can buy it from any forecourt.

If anybody finds that too difficult to grasp they should not be driving. I guess if they were let loose on an E car they would probably electrocute themselves sooner of later.

Yep, GCMS, VW would have a field day with your AdBlue solution.

In fact you probably have to use a specific VW approved AdBlue product, to avoid them using the get out of jail warranty card.

I wonder how much they charge for a 1lt of AdBlue from your local VW dealership.

Diesel cars are most certainley on there way out, sales down by 40% against last year already.

I thinks it's going to be open season on drivers of diesel cars from now on.

Looks like it's back to petrol, for towing caravans going forward, and that's going to cost!

EV's for everyone else me thinks, and let all the petrol heads take the hit.

Where did you hear 40% drop?
Telly said 17% the other day.

OK, a bit of clarity called for, BBC.

He just has too much going on that I think some of his little electric cars are needing a charge.

Surely anything that discourages the sale of new diesel cars is somewhat self defeating when it comes to pollution. All discouraging people from buying new diesel cars will do is encourage people to keep their older and more polluting diesel cars for longer?

All the bad publicity against diesel cars means to me and others like me is that there will be more cheap diesel cars on the market. Great news! I can now buy a newer diesel car cheaper than I could before, thanks folks!

Colin

Well I did that 2 to 3 months ago .. changed from a diesel to petrol ... and a 3.5l V6 at that ... may be letting the side down a bit though as the CO2 figure is only 145.

Yep like in France, they will just ban Diesels from going anywhere, so yes you will be able to buy a Diesel Tug cheap, but not be able to go anywhere in it lol!

With France being vastly agricultural/rural, I wonder how that will go down with the peasants that rely on diesel tugs to live. France brought to a standstill.

Do you honestly think that, for the foreseeable future, France will ban diesel powered vehicles from going anywhere.......lol. Please, what planet etc.
