Read the post above yours Bodsey. Tells you all you need to know. Car body is unlikely to be less than 1.8mtre width. So you don’t need towing mirrors.

Thanks. I was a bit concerned, because rear of car (Mondeo estate) is actually just less than width of trailer. However, visibility is good in the area as stated by the law. I just don't fancy the discussion with a person of authority to prove it.

Yes, totally agree with the above posts. If the car is wider than the trailer there is no need for towing mirrors. You only need them if the trailer is wider than the towing vehicle, and this prevents you from having adequate rear visibility.
