Yes that would be one idea, richardandjo2010, but it would somewhat rely on us liking it when we got there. Unless one really strikes me as ideal, I tend to look at several before making a decision. Very rarely do we find one that is perfect first time. We have looked at caravans and cars in the past that have been described as first-rate, but when we have got there they have turned out to be piles of junk. I simply can't afford to go traipsing all over the country looking at "perfect" cars that turn out to be rust-buckets or sound like a bucket of bolts.

As I said we just dropped lucky on this one ,they don’t seem to hang about on used car lots ,my dealer sold the two he had in two days , I do think you might find it worthwhile looking in the northwest area though ,again depending on what you can afford and how far your willing to travel . As stated I did a local search but there seems to be quiet a few on the market aroun the area between Manchester to Birmingham

Thanks Black Fox. Birmingham is a two and a half hour drive from here, and Manchester probably as far again. To go that far I would need to know that what I was going for was absolutely perfect for me. Ideally I am looking at Hertfordshire or Essex. As for budget, very little unfortunately. Absolute max. £2,500 including towbar if one is not fitted already, plus whatever I can get for my Volvo. I am starting to think though that I am going to have to keep the Volvo. Being pre 2001, at least it is cheaper to tax.
