"I have no proof (or care) where the towbar was fitted but I know for certain Rangers are shipped in to the UK with them fitted if chosen as an option"

More than likely fitted at the factory.

Hi TinTin72,

I have a 2014 Wildtrak and am just about to fit a tow bar. I am wondering whether I will also need the extra wires under the driver's seat.

Do you remember which TSB it was, or can you advise what I should ask for at my local Ford dealership.

Factory fitted tow bars:
Sorry but they are possible and they are fitted. Skoda certainly do this at the factory.
Evidence was the car being driven off the transporter still covered in it transport wax and white plastic condom.

Hi I've been reading your article about the Ford Ranger. I have purchased one this year and the 12s plug for the fridge is showing no power and after reading your article you mentioned about a part that was fitted could you please help

I have recently had mine done by fast fit towbars in bromsgrove. Had factory towbar, they just connected the split charge relay. Took about half hour.

Just to give an update yes the part you need from Ford is part number 2 104 069. Works fine now😀👍😀
