You really need to get the CRIS number now and get a CRIS check done, it shows if the caravan has been stolen, written off etc and if there is any outstanding finance on it. It only costs a few quid and gives you some useful information eg if it has had 10 owners I would be wondering why.
Is there any service history? Has there been a recent service and damp check?
Are the tyres in need of replacement due to age/deterioration?
If you are interested in buying this van you could also get a pre purchase check carried out by a local caravan technician, have a look at the MCEA website, this could save you a lot of money in the long term and any problems that show up could give you some leverage on the purchase price.
Ref the storage. Storage contracts are not usually transferable to the new owners of the caravan, you would have to check this with the storage provider and not accept the seller's word. If the storage is not transferable do you have alternative storage available?
I know there are a lot of things to consider but this is going to be a big investment and if buying privately you need to protect yourself as much as possible.

PS Ask to see the paperwork and receipts etc for the service history, don't take his word for it and double check everything. Have you asked him how long he has owned it?
which is over for a novice but like the gent said in a earlier post when towing there is going to be 4 passanges
and luggage in the car so would this not bring it down to 85% or less
Rob and Tina have posted some great advise 1sat thing for me would be to get a cris check done, it's a bit like doing a hpi check for a caravan.
my 1st caravan was bought privately and included the remaining storage which was about 9 months, i was also offered to extend this when it run out, but i moved mine to one closer to home
