Got tip HumberWolf but looking at the basic prices the most expensive model in 2019 being the xdrive 20d M Sport and the 20d xLine were £36970 on the road. Would optional extras be taken into account?
Yes. All extras are included in the list price of the car for vehicle tax purposes. This includes metallic paint, tech packs 1 & 2, comfort pack, m sport plus pack, sunroof, privacy glass etc. It's very easy to add several thousand pounds to BMWs (and most German cars) if some of these options are added.
There was also a facelift in October 2019 with improved specs and I think there was a price increase as well.
It's just worth checking before committing to any purchase.
