We tow a 1200Kg Weinsberg CaraOne with our Peugeot 508SW PHEV. Maximum towing weight is 1,340 Kg according to the plate and spec sheet. My only gripe is that the boot is smaller than most in its class. It does make up for this by being crazy comfortable.

Ours was about £30K second hand.

Wow! Only about £26k more than we could afford. At least they are coming down, so by the time I'm about 115 I might be able to afford one.

They’re even more currently. I’m “lucky” enough to have it as a company car. It’s exactly £30k more than we could afford if I had to buy it myself…

And the tax, etc. means my wife’s car is an 11 year old Polo. I must be doing something wrong as I see plenty of folks driving around in larger more capable tow cars!

I think I've been doing something wrong for a long while as I'm retired now. I have a fairly large capable tow car, but it's 14 years old and will probably be my last. When this one is no longer repairable or diesel is priced out of my reach, my bus pass will be my only option. I already use it now whenever it's viable, I only use the car when it isn't.

Best Regards,
Colin
