If you've got a couple of grand to spend, I'd say the choice is vast, there's thousands of cars out there. We often pop along to the auctions & watch them go through for silly money. To be honest, if you can find one that hsan't got a towbar on it, at least you'll be certain that it hasn't worked its guts out dragging a caravan or even worse an overloaded horsebox around. you can get a towbar fitted for not a lot of money.
I wish you'd posted this earlier, my brother has just let his Mondea diesel go for £750, he swapped it in with a dealer for that too. It had only just had a brand new engine & air con unit two years ago.
6 weeks to go to pentewan this way & the inner man can't wait. What pitch are you on??
