dont bother with a pajero, my 2.5 blew a head gasket last year and when i took the head off it was cracked so i replaced it.

i bought a 3.5 range rover on gas to go off roading in and parked the paj up for 3 days and guess what head gasket gone again.

i bought a 3.9 soft dash range rover on gas and it will return 30 to the gallon.

£100 to do head gaskets on a range rover v8, £590 to replace head gasket and yet another head on the pajero (bl**dy jap crap)

100 quid for head gaskets on a range????? if you are doing it yourself you were robbed, if you are paying someone else to do it give me their number

I am just about to do mine, 40quid for the expensive fibre gasket set (cheapies about 20) and about 8-9 hours labour, so hoping for a dry but not too hot sunday in the near future.

The other good one for pajs the crank pulley (the key wears away leading to a new crankshaft) or the cam balancer belt (best left off so it rattles like a tractor or it may slip off/snap taking the cambelt with it - think a four figure bill before even starting)
