just done a 120 mile round trip this afternoon and averaged 56.1 mpg mixed driving in our Mondy.Dont think i could ever go back to a petrol engined car  or a 4x4 even for towing with. The Mondy does all we ask of it and does all things very well.

I agree with Bill Lord, I too have a Mondeo 2litre TDCI and it handles superbly and even on large hills I rarely have to go down a gear. My previous car a Laguna 1.9DCI was hopeless on hills and you always knew you were towing. Mondeo's are trusty faithfulls!

Well we went into Derbyshire end of May, 2 adults, 3 teenagers full awning etc. and it was effortless. The hills out of Ashbourne are pretty steep but we cruised up with power to spare.
Our model has the Tiptronic gearbox which gives you the option to manually change gears if you need to, we have occasionally used this and it gives you the best of both worlds, total control but no clutch.
Thanks for that, just gives me something else to think about [manual or automatic]

Auto everytime!!!!
Don't know how many have the Tiptronic option though?
We only use it when towing (actually only used it 3 times!)
Next problem is how much to ask for it? Any ideas anyone?
