Ah! by a Land Rover I assumed you mean't a 'proper' Land Rover(That'll be the one in continuous production since 1948 in case anybody is unclear what I mean't by a 'proper' Land Rover).

Had you had mean't a Freelander, I assumed you would have said so. Not to worry, the longer a thread gets the less anybody bothers to read the OP anyway.

In essence the point of the post is that far eastern clones are better value.  You pay your money and make your choice. Nobody has to put down other marques to justify that their much cheaper model is in reality much better (at least in their opinion).
