Be aware that if he is a dealer posing as an individual this could lead to all sorts of complications. We have that t shirt!

I think also that if the Frontera requires tax that will be around another £240

As long as it was registered before March/ April 2001 it will be £225 tax, the same as my Range Rover.

Yes I have looked at that before, could it pull my caravan though? also no towbar fitted, not a major problem I know, but having had the clutch/flywheel done should mean one big expense has been spared!

I would rather buy a car without a towbar then you know that it hasn"t pulled before .
Look on here Towcar and look at the user reviews and you see that car should be ok if not go after a 4x4 M8

I got this 59 plate skoda superb 36,000 mile 1.9 for £7700 last month, book price £11,000, don't be afraid to ask dealers for a deal, it is better if you do not have a trade in as you could if you tried get more off, its a buyer market at the moment due to the resesion

That is nowhere near £2000, Bob, be very careful or you could make yourself look very silly.

So, Bob, as the OP was asking for cars £1500 to £2000 are you trying to say a Skoda dealer would be willing to drop the price of a Superb from £11,000 to £2,000?

And for ST1100, that was an example of what you can get, the same applies at the lower price range, never pay the screen price no matter how low or high it is.
I hope they are successful in there quest in finding a vehicle in there price range, just look at all the on line adds and dealers there will be a jewel out there at there price, and no im not a dealer, I just know how to get a good deal

The price of second hand cars in the Uk is quite high at the moment due to not many new cars being ordered, I recently sold my wifes old picasso for more than it was booked last year and was inundated with calls for it.

i actually used we buy any car for a laugh earlier this year, they sent me a mail 3 months later saying that my car had increased in value and could they revalue thier offer.

Bob the price of second hand cars is also lower in scotland than down south, if you go to the auctions you'll often find a lot of dealers buying cars and moving them down to manchester and the likes.
