Personally, if the caravans are so close together, I wouldn't want to stay there anyway. I go on holiday for wide open spaces.
Incidentally, I've never had a mover in 48 years caravanning, and don't expect to get one. And before people say they need one because of a medical condition, I can't walk at the moment, following a stroke. I'll still site the van though.

As you say, you pick sites with wide open spaces so no real problems reversing onto the pitch.
I also assume your storage at home or other place is easy enough to access without steep inclines or tight spaces where it is impossible to reverse in with a car.
If not then I guess you have a Big S on your t shirt

It would be interesting to see how you do that at the next site I'm going to. Front of the caravan facing the lake, with a steep slope below the caravan nose.
I am sorry but you obviously do not have a clue why some people have a MM but I honestly don't think anyone will be bothered what you think about MM's.
I would have expected someone who has suffered a stroke and can't walk( your words) would at least have some idea how health can change how you have to do things but you obviously haven't lost your arrogance towards others!

Nothing to do with arrogance. You may not have noticed that I said its a personal choice whether you want a mover or not. I find your attitude disturbing, personal attacks are uncalled for, and against the rules of the forum.
I choose to use my payload for something else. Why are you attacking me for that? Also, there are very few medical conditions that stop you driving in reverse as well as forwards. It can be done. Why is it such a big deal?
I suggest you find an argument to support your cause instead of resorting to personal attacks.
You came across as having a high handed approach as if you were the only person who could reverse a caravan and even although you had a stroke and could not walk you could still reverse on to the pitch. Good for you..
You did come across as arrogant hence my reply and people have MM's for all different reasons not just health, you appear to be lucky in the type of pitch you use and also your storage, you assume everyone has the same.
I suggest you read some of the replies to your original post.. not just mine!
I also never criticised you for not having a MM to give you more payload, I never even mentioned it.
You may try to backtrack now but your implication was quite clear.
If you are so easily offended don't post..

For me its the quality of the site that is important, and I don't want to be restricted to whether I can back in or not.
Works for me, otherwise I might just as well set it up in the garden.

This is becoming a touchy subject......
Just can't understand why some are so upper height to whether you have a MM or not....
Och it is the same with windbreaks, awnings, BBQs, you name it, some luv em and some hate em.
Those that use em are wimps, spoilsports or kill-joys. Or we are sensible and hedonistic.
There will always be those that would rather criticise than agree. Such is the life of a Forum.
