Sorry if I am dredging up an old thread but I feel it needs some clarification.
As a scale engineer (including weighbridges) I am in a position to explain some of the issues here.
50/60t weighbridges will come at a resolution of 10 or 20 kg(the smallest weight it can display)[ term division is used for this later on].
This is not the accuracy of the machine.
A "TRADE STAMPED" or "VERIFIED" weighbridge will have certain labels on it, but any bridge used for trade must follow the same rules. These will be used by quarries, distribution centres, "Public weighbridges" and VOSA sites.
When they are tested after repairs have been made, they are allowed to be within +/- 0.5 division up to 1/3 capacity, +/-1 division at 2/3 capacity and 1.5 division at full capacity.
When they are checked to make sure they are OK (including certification) the above tolerances are doubled i.e at 1/3 capacity they are allowed to be +/- 1 division.
So for our useage the verified bridge results should be within +/- 1 division, which will either be +/- 10kg or +/- 20kg.
