To be honest, if you have had the clutch done on your Mondeo, you should have had the dmf done at the same time. You might as well bite the bullet and get a set of injectors. The Mondeo only has two major flaws, the DMF and the injectors. If you replace the injectors, you should be good for well over 100,000 miles.
Swadlingcote diesel are highly recommended on the Ford forums. They are not difficult to replace yourself, though will need recoding. You may be able to recode them yourself with a £30 F-Super from eBay. From memory I think exchange injectors were £125 a piece about a year ago when I was in your position.
Beware of injectors reconditioners that don't supply a new code for the injectors too.
