Having sat here and read through all this thread I was wondering if the use of a stabilizer bar would be any help in any way ?
And also when the tail starts to wag the dog so to speak, what is the right thing to do ? do you brake or accelerate ?

Hi Paul and Wendy,

Rumple I just noticed I never thanked you for your very well researched information. Thank you, its really helpful and I will keep it as a guide when I buy my new caravan.  I am looking at a new Sport Knaus unladen 1070 kg max laden weight 1300k.  Sound OK?

Paul and Wendy........after much quizzing everyone I think when the tail wags the dog you dab at the brakes to slow the whole outfit down as that applies the caravan brakes as well as car brakes.  But I am going to CC towing course as a snaking accident third time out completely shook my confidence (as well as my caravan!) and dont please take this as I know what I am talking about (I dont).  Have you seen all the advice I got in My Scary Snaking Accident thread?  Lots of members gave me their advice on that thread which was useful.
