Wow its 2009 all over again

Towcar report suggests it would be a terrible towcar. They tested the diesel which has slightly more BHP and far more torque than the petrol car. Almost double the amount of torque and they rated it as fairly poor.

Also commented on how slow it was to accelerate from 30mph to 60mph, taking over 30 seconds. And thats in a diesel with more power and torque.

The Panda mk3 according to the caravan club could tow the freedom, but sluggish away from junctions and so on, and I was concerned by the report, but I have been twice on a 360 mile round trip and have been surprised how well the car copes, it returned 36 mpg where without the van on same sort of speed would get 55mpg, but if you plan ahead when driving it is fine, the car is the lounge version with sunroof so weighs in at 955kg unladen max tow braked 800kg.
