Any xc60 owners know definitively the Kerb weight of their towcar. Can't find it for mine, just Mass in Service 1920 and max permissible mass 2505 on the V5C. So I assume the 1920 is what I take to work out the 85%.

Cheers Iain, thought it was heavier. Volvo gives yours a D5 AWD Auto as min Kerbweight 1906Kg. got the spec Here doesn't show my D4, which is a lower rated D5 engine (same engine less HP) so should weigh the same. As I said in earlier post mass in service is 1920Kg, so 1906Kg minimum seems right.

SWMBO hasn't told me which van we are buying yet lol, either a Swift Challenger sport, as she doesn't like the splashback in the SE or Bailey Unicorn Valencia. I want a Hobby or Adria, but wanting doesn't come into it

Both the Swift and Bailey are under 1550kg MTPLM depending if going for single axle Swift, so sure you would be fine on those vans with your D4 weight wise
Some of the larger Adrias can be 1800kg + and I think you would need to be more careful there for sure
Tested an xc60. It had 2.0 l engine. However I was still astonished by its performance. It was the edrive. I was impressed and wondered if I needed the extra that the 2.4 would provide.
Just bl**dy pranged the thing. Flatbed lorry pulled up to deliver a panel for my garage. Decided to move the car out of harms way and while watching the crash bar at rear of lorry in the mirror failed to notice the flatbed was wider. Rear light smashed, back quarter panel dented and a rip. Hopefully off to the repair shop tomorrow all of those and more. Gutted !!!
