Interesting link Shytot. Made me all nostalgic again!

Its a weird Heinz that one. Seems to be "L" spec but with the 3.2 litre engine. Personally I think the whole point of the Omega is having all the toys for very little dosh!

He seems to put a lot of faith in the police servicing regime. My old room mate had a brother in the police. The stuff he told me went on with their cars was nobody's business! Bet this one was on unmarked motorway patrol - does it come with two blue lights behind the grill I wonder!!??? Worth every penny if it does!!!

How can he say it has a book value of £7,000? Its a non standard spec.

Looks nice in silver, but I still think that Elite in Bristol has to be worth viewing.....

This one might be worth a look in the same auction! It has the facelift interior and exterior. Looks nice, and theres a tow bar already fitted!!

Thought I would reply to this thread. I used to own an Omega, the problem with the car you were looking at is quiet simple. The rocker cover gaskests need replacing. It is a common fault on the V6, the gaskets fail which causes oil to run into the spark plug wells, this gives you two symptons, the first one is the smell of burning oil as it drips onto the manifold, the second is the hesitation and sometimes a slight misfire due to the oil breaking down the plug leads which causes them to arc against the heads.   The gaskets and plug leads need replacing and it will be as good as new. Many sellers will move them on cheap as they think the head gaskets have gone. Other than this they are bullet proof. Take a look around you will find much cheaper. I sold my 2001 2.2 CDX estate with leather this year for just £1800! It had a full Vauxhall service history an just over 100000 miles. Hope this helps.
