This is set out by the Caravan club but how did they come by this figure, did a few people get together and say this sounds about right or did they do some sort of testing ? for towing I have towed all over the world, being in the MT while in the army, and a chieftain tank weights more than the low loader

Bob you can't compare with that mate, a tractor unit towing that weight is far better than any car you can buy anywhere today. And made for the job in hand.
