It's exactly the car we are after, there is a thread on it a while back.

The Land Cruiser has a far better reputation than the Terrano.  Not sure why but the Terrano has never found favour in the UK particularly.  They are meant to be a bit agricultural to drive and I actually had a local garage put me off even looking at one!  Not the best on reliability unusually for Nissan too.

I have experience of the Land Cruiser and think they are a fantastic vehicle with Toyota reliability.

Which is totally opposite to what mechanic friends of mine have said, and here in Lincolnshire they have a great reputation and are hard to come by, which is a pity 'cos I want one.

hi!

we  have an old sprite at the moment which we towed with a renault scenic, we have just brought a newer car a vw Passat estate 1900 tdi (130 bhp) and Wow! what a difference. we averaged 37mpg on a recent trip to newquay with 4 of us in the car and loaded up for a weeks holiday, didnt even feel the van on the back.we can fit 5 adults in the car with plenty of leg room, and average 45-50mpg around town. definatley worth considering!
