We have a problem- a nissan almera is not going to tow a 6 berth caravan (his 3 kids & the one were (i'm) planning on in the future) and we would like to take the kids away for their holls in the future followings a successful trips this year.

The trouble is what to get? We both like vans which come in at around 1500kg, which would mean getting a 4x4....at least in our price range.

But then there are ones around 1300kg which are ok but we could get away with a hefty diesel estate car (which we both like).

Don't know where to compromise!

Budget around 6-8 grand... what would you do?

Kia Seddona.  People Carrier

Big heavy capable tug with all the space for growing family.

You'd get a good spec'd one for that money

When you get to talking about those kind of weights, best check you do not have a licence issued after 01/01/1997 as with a 4x4 and many mpvs/large estates you will be over the 3500kg trainweight you are allowed. (In fact with a decent 4x4 almost anything big enough to require brakes will put you over the limit)

Think the Kia Sedona is looking good for us- would never have considered it thanks Shielsy! Cannot believe the tow figures and the internal layout is fantastic (we had a look at one in a dealers). Just need to save up for the Diesel now, we live within 1 mile of work/shops and walk alot so wont be a problem unless we get lazy!!

I am a late passer on the driving test front, but blokes learned to drive in the army so i wont be doing any without a B&E test but thats an excuse to sit back and relax (well, shout at the kids!).

Thanks for all your help, we did look at them all and a few others but have made our minds up now.... i'm sooo looking forward to the new caravan!!
