 Caravan novice seeks help!

Can anybody tell me if its ok to travel leaving the Alko hitchlock on?

If its the type that goes over the Alko stabiliser hitch then its ok. We always tow with it locked on if we know we will be stopping somewhere on route.

 .. Mind you caravans never catch fire .. do they ?

We were told by the dealer never to travel with the hitchlock on incase you ever need to unhitch the caravan quickly. Also it only takes a minute to put on.

I would agree.........put it on only if you need to.  We never leave the van unattended when travelling anyway, and if we did we would also fit our wheel clamp.
