 Can anyone offer any advice on the Ford Galaxy as a towing choice,if so is the diesel or 2.3 preferable and how do parts prices compare?  Thanks, Alan,Dorset.

Diesel will generally be the better tow choice due to a lower, flatter torque curve. The ford 2.3 powerplant is a rather old design now (+cheap parts - poor economy compared to modern units), and I am pretty sure the galaxy was the last car to use it.
