I have fitted a Witter towbar, with single electrics, to my 1999 Nissan Serena, and all went well, until it came to actually hooking up the trailer board. Using a meter , I can confirm that there is current at all the right pins, when using the controls , eg brakes , indicators. However , upon hooking up a trailer board, which I know is in working order , everything refuses to light up. I have connected the earth, directly to the car chassis, as per the instructions.
Anyone experienced this before? I am going away on Saturday and fear that without use of my trailer I will have to cancel.
Many thanks,
Bob.
