Having driven a few 4X4's in the past, I hate them. They are uncomfortable to drive and rear visibility is poor. They only one I've driven that I would consider drivable is the Landrover Defender. In all honesty, I wouldn't even consider buying one. The smaller ones are the worst of a bad bunch as they tend to bounce along the road, rather like driving a space hopper.
Each unto their own, but I fail to understand how people can make claims of comfort and drive ability for their 4x4s. They are not built for comfort, they are built for working. The smaller ones are not built for working very hard either and offer neither practicality or comfort. Someone will doubtless correct me here, but my experience is that the Suzuki and the Pajero are the worst of all.
I do not argue with the people who like these vehicles, if they enjoy them then good luck to them, but personally, I find them a nightmare to drive.
