I have a kia sorento manual diesel, i am a bit wery to use my cruise control when towing, the hand book does not say not too or advise its ok, been on to my local dealers not much help
Does anyone use there one when towing, does it cause any problems
I use my cruise control when towing and find its great , if the car needs a little help i either drop out of the CC or just gas up a little. when I see a hill that I know the car will need some help toget up I drop the cc early and go back to normal use.
Yes, i've used it on my Passat when towing and it works ok. There's that much traffic on the motorways so you are always in and out of it so now i don't bother.
I have a Mondeo tdci with cruise control and I use it all the time when on the mtorway towing. I get on the M62 at J21 Milnrow and as soon as I hit 55mph ( still on the acceleration lane ) I set the cruise. It is happy to stay like that until I come off the M6 at Carlisle ( that was the last outing ) Never any problems at all.
------------- I've taken a vow of poverty, to annoy me send money
it's there to use .. i find it superb when towing my caravan... going up a hill just boot it early to get going ..it'll stay at the arranged speed when you slow down no need to knock it out of cruise really .. same thing overtaking..but whatever you are comfortable with will work for you .. enjoy and relax and look in your mirrors more often when climbing using long and early indications of your intentions...
