I was lying dozing on the sofa mulling over what car I should buy for tow car and which one of my Skodas I should trade in. It SUDDENLY dawned on me ..... when was my Octavia MOT due OH MY GOD it ran out in August. I can't believe i could be so silly. Before anyone is too hard on my have had a lot on (dad fell and broke his hip and has had to go into nursng home STRE E E E ES) sorry just had to share that with my fellow campers/caravanners. I will be phoning my trusy mechanic first thing tomorrow morning..... Anne
The only MOT requirement for a Skoda is to have the rear screen heater in good working order. Can't have the mechanics getting cold hands pushing it can we?
Oh, dear; let's hear the other old ones - what about railway buffet sandwiches for a start?
Haven't you heard they're VW/Audi with a different badge now; plenty of taxi drivers know it, and they're not going to waste their money...

actually I rate the skoda diesels highly, good motors for the money. even the old estelle wasnt a bad car, like a porsche to drive with that engine beyond the back wheels, loads of oversteer but great for doing donuts with LOL
As they say, they did become rubbish for a good while, but my brother had a Skoda Felicia (convertible) in the late 60's - it was built like a tank, and we went "rallying" a few times - more than once (over moorland and through forests) other cars lost their sumps or snapped their axles - we just kept going! It was sad that later they went into decline!

Don't they put a sticker on your windscreen now, with the expiry date on it? They all do round our way.....
