i haven't ,but i'd like one!!!

from what i've heard ,the tdi is best, friend has one and he swears by it,fuel consumption good when towing.

he says he gets 40-46mpg,and he tows a conky,so can't be bad!!!

try and go for the auto if you can get one, pure joy,so relaxed, esp.with criuse control.

i want one in black, looks great, when polished up.

Comments....... because there are no other comments

My last company car was a 75 diesel/manual/saloon in which I averaged 50,000 miles a year at 50.1 mpg in winter and 49.2 mpg in summer (air-con usage being the difference). We ran 4 75's  reliability was 100% and I would certainly recommend them. I imagine they are very good tow cars. I did consider buying a new one when Rover disappeared (at half price!) but they didn't quite match my SAABs.

HTH

I tow an ABI Award Northstar TA with my Rover 75 Tourer 2.0CTD Connoisseur Auto. The ABI is a heavy caravan, but my Rover pulls it along fine. It shifts the gears a lot when climbing inclines, but other than that a great, luxurious car to tow with. I manage about 27-30 MPG towing, and the best I have got solo is 50 MPG!

The cruise control is a dream, add to that the built in Satnav and TV (only able to use when parked up though), the luxurious leather seats, legroom galore, and it's like being in a Gentleman's club on wheels!
