hi

i hav just purchased a 1997 5door rav4 for the purpose of towing a abi maurauder 1100 kg laden weight... which on paper would be ok for the job.. now with towbar fitted and hitched up , the caravan is far from level(nose down) due to the low hight of the towbar.. the hight being restricted by the low rear door.... has anyone found a way round this problem????

weights look ok on here  (85%) of kerb weight  http://www.cuddles.abelgratis.net/toyota.htm#rav407

check your nose weight it should give this on the towbar itself.do not go over this weight.failing that work on 7% of the MTPLM for the towbar weight.
