I had a towbar fitted to my Touran in April 2007. Cost was £190.00 + Vat for towbar with 16 pin Euro electrics.

Done by a mobile fitter from Warrington, Bill 08452 305099. May be a little far from Leeds, but you never know.

Hope this helps

Mark

Try here, http://www.greatyorkshiretrailers.co.uk/ they were good when I had my MaxxRaxx fitted and are fairly local to you. Had a mobile fitter do my Audi A4 towbar a few years ago, which was OK, so maybe that's an option.

You may need to do a bit of research with regards to which towbar and how much, needless to say, they are all now type fit for a particular car, so you pays your money and takes your choice.

Do you like your Touran?....thinking of getting the 170BHP version when I swap the car in August.

The European plug/socket, soon to be standard on new caravans in UK, is 13 pin.

thanks for the replies

cartema: will give Great Yorkshire towbars a try , Really like the Touran drives well, loads of room & 2 extra seats in boot handy for kids. Mine only 105bhp but quite quick , Should be OK towing my van as MTPLM is 1250kg
