Hi there, thinking of getting a Towbar fitted to my Ford Focus 1.4 but need to get prices etc sorted. I've used the Thompson to find towbar fitters but does anyone in Leeds have any recommendations for somewhere they've used?
Terry ...we had our towbar on our Mondeo fitted at Horforth towbars ..01132588567...great service..they were the cheapest in Leeds and very friendly....dropped the car off walked up into Horsforth ...had a coffee and went back all in an hour....

hi m8,sorry to hijack this posting, just after some advice from simon on a new tyre i had fitted.had three fitted bridgestone SF226/95SRF/195/70/SR14/LOAD95.£79.50 each fitted at the door by EVENT tyres.no problem with the service ,price or fitting,BUT after 200 miles i was washing the tyres and found a small lump on the side of one of the tyres about one inch across.this was changed to be sent back to bridgestone for a refund but i had to pay for another tyre fitted.how long does this take and can i ring bridgestone myself to ask for an update? he said it can take up to 4/6 weeks before the tyre is picked up by them.just wondered if this was a fob off.the 7 year old tyres had no lumps and i would not like to lose £80.thanks.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
hi micheal yes this is the industry standard way of protrcting both us as suppliers and you as the consumer he should have taken quiet a few details from yourself at the time ie to fill in his / there tyre complaint form
it is normal fpr 4-6 weeks but can be longer depending on when they return it for inspection!!!
even if a refund is given b/stone will not say it is a faulty tyre but will offer a good will gesture of a refund
michelin have never had a faulty tyre either!!! lol
either way if they do refund you or not then there will be a report from bridgestone or the wholesaler where the tyre was purchased and inspected as not all tyres are bought direct from manufacturer in fact most firms use wholesalers as i do.
in the report it will say how much refund you recieve as a percentage ie a new tyre as yours 100% if given and a half worn tyre 50% and so on but if he says no refund just ask for your old tyre back as it can be returned within 28 days before it is destroyed and also a copy of the report dont suppose you got the dot/ serial number as this will most definatley be on the report to identify your tyre sorry for spellings etc hope this helps any other questions dont hestite to mail me on tyres2athotmail.co.uk change at for at
