If you look around you will find a good TD5 on your budget, it might have done a few miles but if you do some homework you will find out what to look out for.

Trawl some of the land rover forums for info.

I'd be wary of buying anything from the disposal lists of the big 4x4 hire firms. I've been on a few big road building jobs & they tend to hire the 4x4s out by the transporter load to big contract muckshifting/roadbuilding jobs. The vehicles take one heck of a hammering & when off hired, the ones for disposal are steam cleaned & sold off. Considering the vast numbers of discos sold to people who never take them off road & treat them like cars, there'll be one out there for you that hasn't had to hard a life.

The 4 X 4 place on the main A6 in Shardlow, Derbys is definitely there, I passed it yesterday.

Plenty on offer from what I could see.
