I have a 54 plate cmax 1.6 diesel. Just got my towbar fitted, although only wanting to tow a trailer not a van, I find it pretty good for the family although the missus has a picasso which is more versatile and roomy. prefer the cmax myself though

A mate of mine tows a 5 berth abbey with his no problem. i think his cars the 2ltr one and his van is around 1300.
He actually changed from a frontera to this car as his frontera was struggling.

help !
i have recently bought a ford focus c-max 1.6lx, i ahve been told that it will pull my bailey discovery 500 no problem as is a light van, i have swopped from a jeep cherokee 2.4 petrol , as cant afford the fuel tanker delivery drivers wages anymore to follow me when towing !!!!!!, does anyone tow a van with 1.6 and how does it respond.
please help

also with reference to my first post, can any body reccomend which type of towbar for c-max, i have an alko hitch on my van ?
